Junior Golf

Somersett’s award-winning junior programming is a valued membership benefit, designed to introduce young players to the game, build skills progressively, and create a fun, family-friendly environment where confidence can grow.

For Somersett Residents: While Junior Golf programming is reserved for members, Somersett Golf & Country Club offers two annual scholarship opportunities for Somersett residents — one boy and one girl. Each child is eligible to receive the scholarship for one year only. Please contact the Golf Shop for additional information.
Lil People Golf
Ages 3–6
A fun and low-pressure introduction to golf for young children, with age-appropriate instruction and activities designed to keep learning engaging.
Junior Golf
Ages 7–12
A developmental program that helps juniors build skills, confidence, sportsmanship, and familiarity with the game in a supportive environment.
Teen Golf
Ages 13–17
A peer-based program that blends instruction, skill challenges, and on-course learning for teens looking to improve and enjoy the game more fully.
 
PGA Junior League
Team-based golf with coaching, match play opportunities, and a strong emphasis on fun, teamwork, and development.
Performance Golf
An advanced junior program for players who want deeper instruction in swing development, course strategy, and competitive growth.
Somersett Girls Golf Program
A girls-only academy designed to help young golfers build skills, confidence, and preparation for school and competitive play.
